According to the Decision, the Da Nang Free Trade Zone will cover approximately 1,881 hectares arranged across non-contiguous locations. The zone includes various functional sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, trade and services, digital technology industry, information technology, innovation, and other types of functional areas as prescribed by law.

Location 1 Covers approximately 100 hectares in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District. It is bordered to the North by the foot of Hai Van Pass and the Lien Chieu Port connection road, to the South by the Cu De River, to the East by Kim Lien Bay, and to the West by Lien Chieu Industrial Park.

Location 2 Covers approximately 77 hectares in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District. It is bordered to the North by the Lang Van Tourism and Urban Resort complex and Lien Chieu communal house area, to the South by Lien Chieu Industrial Park and the residential area behind Kim Lien Bay, to the East by the residential area and Lien Chieu Industrial Park, and to the West by the Lang Van Tourism and Urban Resort complex.

Location 3 Covers approximately 500 hectares in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward (Lien Chieu District) and Hoa Lien Commune (Hoa Vang District). It is bordered to the North by the ADB5 road (Bac Thuy Tu – Pho Nam), to the South by the Cu De River, to the East by the Nam Hai Van bypass road, and to the West by An Dinh Village in Hoa Bac Commune.

Location 4 Covers approximately 559 hectares in Hoa Ninh Commune, Hoa Vang District. It is bordered to the North by Hoa Ninh Cemetery and the Western Ring Road, to the South by Dong Son and Son Phuoc Villages, to the East by Son Phuoc Village and Route DT 602, and to the West by the Western Ring Road.

Location 5 Covers approximately 90 hectares in Hoa Ninh Commune, Hoa Vang District. It is bordered to the North and East by water bodies (Suoi Mo) and tourism service land, to the South by water bodies (Suoi Lanh), and to the West by production forest land.

Location 6 Covers approximately 154 hectares in Hoa Nhon and Hoa Ninh Communes, Hoa Vang District. It is bordered to the North by An Son Village, to the South and East by Dieu Phong and Truoc Dong Villages, and to the West by Hoi Phuoc Village (Hoa Phu Commune), Hoang Van Thai Street, and Dieu Phong Village.

Location 7 Covers approximately 401 hectares in Hoa Nhon and Hoa Phu Communes, Hoa Vang District. It is bordered to the North by the Ba Na Golf Course Expansion Project and Dieu Phong Village, to the South by Dong Lam and Hoa Hai Villages, to the East by Dieu Phong Village, and to the West by Phu Tuc Village.
The Da Nang City People’s Committee holds full responsibility for the accuracy of the boundaries of these proposed locations. Following the rearrangement of communal administrative units under the two-level local government model, the Committee is responsible for reviewing and updating boundaries according to new names (if any) without changing the approved functional locations.
Developing the Da Nang Free Trade Zone into a vital link in the global supply chain
The planning of functional sectors must align with the objectives of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone as stated in Article 2 of the Decision, Article 13 of Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15, and other national and regional development plans.
The Zone is developed on a foundation of modern, synchronized infrastructure across production, trade, logistics, and high-quality services. It aims to become a regional economic center and a strategic growth pole for Central Vietnam and the entire country.

Integrating the Free Trade Zone with the International Financial Center in Da Nang to create a highly competitive and smart economic ecosystem.
The development roadmap will align with national socio-economic strategies and Da Nang City’s general planning to ensure feasibility and efficiency. The Da Nang City People’s Committee will lead coordination with ministries and sectors to organize the implementation plan, handle site clearance, and invest in essential transport and technical infrastructure. Additionally, the Committee will manage the selection of strategic and secondary investors according to an appropriate timeline.
