On July 14, 2022, SOTRANS Group along with its member companies – Vietranstimex, SOTRANS Logistics, and Sowatco – collaborated with the Red Cross of District 4 (Ho Chi Minh City) to organize the voluntary blood donation day “Sharing Blood – Saving Lives” 2022.
This is one of the practical and humanitarian activities within SOTRANS Group’s 2022 CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program aimed at community values.
A strong response from the SOTRANS family
The voluntary blood donation movement is always encouraged and supported by the Board of Directors, receiving enthusiastic responses from SOTRANS Group members. This year, the humanitarian blood donation day attracted more than 100 SOTRANS volunteers who registered to participate. After medical screening, 81 members were eligible to donate blood, providing 81 units of blood to the Ho Chi Minh City Humanitarian Blood Donation Center.
The receiving units — the Ho Chi Minh City Humanitarian Blood Donation Center and the District 4 Red Cross — strictly implemented epidemic prevention and control regulations to ensure safety for everyone involved. SOTRANS Group members also received detailed consultations and thorough screenings from medical staff before donating.
Noble gestures and social responsibility
Due to excellent preparation, the program was executed scientifically, sequentially, enthusiastically, and quickly. This event truly served as a festival of noble gestures, demonstrating the tradition of mutual love and providing an occasion for SOTRANS Group to show its responsibility toward the community and society. Furthermore, the humanitarian blood donation activity offered an opportunity for the SOTRANS Group family to raise awareness about the value of blood donation, blood-related knowledge, and post-donation care.

Ongoing commitment to community activities
In addition to humanitarian blood donation, SOTRANS Group annually organizes other meaningful volunteer activities such as supporting disadvantaged individuals, giving gifts to charity centers, providing medical examinations for remote areas, and offering scholarships to poor but studious students. In 2021, SOTRANS Group supported local disinfection efforts, contributed to the COVID-19 vaccine fund, and participated in various other social welfare activities.
We look forward to seeing everyone again at the 2023 SOTRANS Group blood donation festival!
