On October 8, 2021, the Customs & Trade Facilitation Committee and the Member Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), in collaboration with the VCCI Legal Department and the Department for Business Environment and Competitiveness Research (CIEM), will organize a Webinar entitled: “Customs Procedure Innovation – Feedback on the draft regulations replacing Decree 08/2015/ND-CP, Decree 59/2018/ND-CP, Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC, and Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC”.
Recently, the Ministry of Finance, specifically the Customs Control and Supervision Department under the General Department of Vietnam Customs, has been presiding over the drafting of new regulations to replace Decree 08/2015/ND-CP, Decree 59/2018/ND-CP, Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC, and Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC, which provide guidelines for the implementation of the 2014 Law on Customs. These are crucial documents for businesses in performing customs procedures and will significantly impact customs brokerage activities. These draft regulations are expected to directly affect tens of millions of import and export shipments in Vietnam annually.
The workshop features Dr. Dang Vu Thanh, Vice President of the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) and General Director of SOTRANS, as the chairperson and keynote speaker.

On that basis, the Customs & Trade Facilitation Committee and the Member Affairs Committee have collaborated with several organizations to host the Webinar: “Customs Procedure Innovation – Feedback on the draft regulations replacing Decree 08/2015/ND-CP, Decree 59/2018/ND-CP, Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC, and Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC”. The workshop aims to assist VLA members and various commodity associations in grasping the draft contents, thereby facilitating their contributions and feedback on the latest draft versions.
